Assessment accommodation

Duties
Provides a centralized service for the receipt, warehousing and issue of departmental assets, prepares and makes recommendations regarding asset disposal, including furniture, equipment and supplies; and takes inventory of assets as required.

Effects minor departmental moves, including the relocation of furniture, equipment and computers (including disconnect and reconnect of equipment), installation of screens, shelving, whiteboards, and other office equipment and accessories.

Coordinates and delivers photocopy paper and burn bags to multiple destination points within the department.

Effects minor repairs on departmental furniture assets, including modification of ergonomic station run-offs, replacement of casters and veneer, assembling and dismantling of furniture and screens, and coordinates the completion of major repairs to furniture assets through commercial companies.

Provides ongoing support to departmental conference facilities such as setting up and dismantling rooms (e.g. theatre style, open horse-shoe).

Intent of the process
The immediate intent of this selection process is to staff one indeterminate position.

A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions in the Public Service with various tenures, various linguistic and profiles, various security requirements, various conditions of employment and for various locations.
