Browning, MT

This position is supervised by the Maintenance Supervisor and is located at the Indian Health Service, Blackfeet Service Unit, Browning, MT. The electrician is responsible for repair/replacements of electric motors, wiring systems, controls, electrical heating system, furnace controls, ETC.

This position is being re-advertised to solicit additional applications. Applicants who applied previously need not reapply unless submitting updated and/or missing information.

Services of all electric motors, motor control centers, electric panels, emergency generators, and switch gear within the hospital.
Will also install, modify, repair, trouble shoot (tracing and location defects), loads and tests new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, controls and equipment.
Works on electrical controls for furnaces (housing) and various electrical controls on (high pressure and low pressure) hospital boilers.
Works with service contractors on bi-annual electrical checks. All work must be in accordance to established
Maintenance and Hospital Policies and Procedures.
Works with building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings and electrical maintenance and repair manuals.
Travel Required
Occasional travel – You may be expected to travel for this position.

ESEP appointees typically serve a two year trial period.

C. Ability to use and maintain electrical equipment.
D. Knowledge of theory and instruments (electrical and electronic) used in shop trade practices.
E. Knowledge of technical practices to include theoretical, precise, and artistic practices.

This job has screen-out element(s) which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not meet the screenout element(s) will be found ineligible.
Screen-out element(s):
Ability to perform the work of an Electrician, as described in the vacancy announcement, without more than normal supervision.
Additional qualifications.
Selective Placement Factor: Must have current, valid Electrician license.
